Bachelor of Science with Honours (Mathematics with Economy)

Entry Requirements

Matriculation/ Foundation

• Pass Matriculation MoE / UM Science Foundation / UiTM Science Foundation with at least Grade C (2.00) in Mathematics and
• Pass at least Band 2 Malaysia University English Test (MUET)

STPM

• Pass ‘Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia’ (STPM)/equivalent with at least CGPA 2.00 and at least:
  • Grade C+ (NGMP 2.33) in Mathematics (T) /  Mathematics (S) / Mathematics (M)
  • At least Band 2 Malaysia University English Test (MUET)

Diploma

• Hold a Diploma /equivalent recognized by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate with at least CGPA 3.00; or
• Pass Matriculation MoE at least Grade B- (NGNP 2.67) in Physics and Mathematics;
• Pass at least Band 2 Malaysia University English Test (MUET)

General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) candidates

• Obtained at least Grade C+ (2.33) at GCE A-Level level in the

following lessons: Mathematics and;

• Pass at least Band 2 Malaysia University English Test (MUET)

International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidates

• Obtained at least Grade C+ (2.33) at the International Baccalaureate level

(IB) in the following subjects: Mathematics and;

• Pass at least Band 2 Malaysia University English Test (MUET)

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1. Higher Certificate of Education (STPM) or GCE ‘A’ Level or equivalent: –
   • A pass in GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent;
   • A pass in the STPM of GCE ‘A’ Level or Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent with
     at least grade C in any THREE (03) subjects;
   • A pass in Cambridge International Examination Test at least grade B; or
   • Exceptions for English speaking country which is stated in MQA qualifications; – ore) Exceptions for school/institute/college that uses English as the official language for learning
     and teaching; -or) English Proficiency:
     • Malaysian University English Test (MUET): Minimum Band 3 or-
     • Test of English as A Foreign Language;
       – Paper Test: Minimum Score 500 points or
       – Computer Test: Minimum Score 213 points or
       – Internet Test: Minimum Score 79 points – or-
     • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Minimum score 5.0 or any other English equivalent qualification recognized by Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
2. Foundation or Diploma or its equivalent
   • A Diploma or its equivalent which is recognized by the Malaysian Government and the
