Programme Entry Requirements
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Master’s Programme:
Bachelor’s Degree Education (Hons) / Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Education with minimum CGPA of 2.50 from an institution recognized by the Malaysian government; OR
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) AND Diploma in Education/ Certificate in Education/ Diploma in Teaching from an institution recognized by the Malaysian government; OR
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) from an institution recognized by the Malaysian government AND must have 1 OR 2 years working experience in the related field; OR
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) with CGPA less than 2.50, can be accepted subject to five (5) year working experience in the related field; OR
Applicants into the Master’s program (level 7, MQF) through APEL, must be a Malaysian citizen aged more than 30 years of age in the year of application with relevant work experience/ prior experiential learning and passed APEL assessment.
English Requirements
LOCAL STUDENTS
The English Language Entry Requirement for Malaysian students at UNITAR International University are as follows:
For PhD Programmes:
A minimum of credit in English SPM level; or
Pass a Master Degree from an institution which applies English as the medium of instruction recognised by the Malaysian Government, or
Pass an internal assessment set by the University, with a minimum score of C
For M.Ed TESL:
A minimum of credit in English at SPM level, or,
A minimum score of Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET), or,
Pass an internal assessment set by the University, with a minimum score of C
Note:
Internal Assessment : An oral test in the form of interview which will be conducted by a panel of interviewers consisting of two members from each Faculty and a representative from English Language department or any other related department
