Bachelor of Hospitality Management (Hons) prepares students for a wide range of careers in the hospitality industry through its multi-disciplinary course, ranging from hotel management to event planning & management. Graduates will be exposed to the theoretical and practical aspect of hospitality including communication, service management and planning.
Programme Entry Requirements
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Bachelor’s Programme:
Pass Sijil Tinggi PelajaranMalaysia (STPM) with a minimum NGMP of 2.00 in at least two (2) subjects; OR
A recognised Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a Grade B in five (5) subjects; OR
A recognised Matriculation, Foundation or Pre-University qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
Pass BTEC Level 4 & 5 and pass SPM with at least three (3) credits in any subjects (or its equivalent); OR
Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
Malaysian students who enroll in UNITAR Bachelor programmes must fulfill the following English proficiency requirements:
Students who have a distinction in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are not required to take additional English courses.
Students who have credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take additional English courses. (Refer to the table below for placement purposes.)
Students who do not have a credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take the English Enhancement Programme before registering for their Faculty courses. (An internal assessment could be arranged with the HOD Language and General Studies.)
Students from a different institution are required to apply for exemption if they studied any English courses. (Students are encouraged to attach the syllabus of the courses they have taken in the previous instituition.)
