Overview

This 3-year long programme prepares students to be qualified and competent Quantity Surveyors in the global construction industry. The curriculum is designed in a way to ensure that students respond ably to the demands of the industry.

The course assists students to mature into dynamic individuals who strive to become professional Registered Quantity Surveyors. It also helps them develop research and critical thinking skill to pursue lifelong learning. Upon completion, students demonstrate accurate techniques and skills of measurement, quantification and cost estimation in construction projects and successfully apply knowledge of economics, building constructions, maintenance and services related to quantity surveying areas.

This programme is also accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, UK.

Entry Requirements

  • Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia – Grade C (2.00) in 3 subjects including Mathematics
  • A-Level – Minimum pass in 3 subjects including Mathematics
  • United Examination Council (UEC) – Minimum pass of Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics
  • SEGi Foundation programme or other equivalent – Minimum pass CGPA 2.50
  • New South Wales Higher School Certificate – Band 3 in 2 subjects including Mathematics
  • South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) – Minimum Grade C in 2 subjects including Mathematics
  • Canadian Pre-University Studies/Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) – Minimum passing marks of 60 in 2 subjects including Mathematics
  • International Baccalaureate – Minimum 24 points
  • Matriculation, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia – Minimum CGPA 2.50
  • Other diploma programmes from institutions of higher learning that are approved as equivalent by MQA – Minimum CGPA 2.67
  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying program from institution of higher learning approved by BQSM – Minimum CGPA 2.67 Direct Entry to Year 2
