The need for quantity surveyors is vital for the efficient financial management of construction projects. As a partner university of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the School is instrumental in meeting the educational needs of quantity surveying graduates by building on their previous education and experience to prepare them for the demands of this profession.
There is consistent competition amongst those wishing to enter and develop a career in quantity surveying in order to gain an internationally recognised postgraduate qualification, such as the MSc from Heriot-Watt University. English language requirements
If English is not your first language, then evidence of proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.5 is required.
If you do not have IELTS 6.5, we offer a Pre-Sessional English Programme (PSEP) prior to commencing your studies.

In accordance with our normal practice our professionally orientated programmes are designed to meet the educational requirements for membership of relevant professional institutions. In addition to accreditation within Malaysia, we seek accreditation by the relevant UK or international professional bodies in accordance with their standard procedures.
